Kansas City – Kauffman Stadium

Kauffman Stadium, located on the eastern edge of Kansas City, MO, is home to the Kansas City Royals. Located where highways I-70 and I-435 meet, the ballpark lies within the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex next to Arrowhead Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs play football.

Seat Selection

  • Section 420 (Upper level behind home plate)

The 400-level seats behind home plate offer a bird-eye view of the field and a scenic view of the waterfalls beyond the outfield wall and the surroundings past the ballpark.

The upper rows in the middle sections of the 400-level also enjoy cover from the sun during day games.

Ballpark Features

  • Water Spectacular Fountains

Kansas City is known for its fountains throughout the city and the largest privately-owned fountains has its home in the Kauffman Stadium outfield plaza.

  • Royals Hall of Fame

Before the game, stop by the Royals Hall of Fame in the left field corner of the ballpark for a walk through the team’s history.

Foods at the Ballpark

  • Beef Brisket ‘Acho Helmet

The Brisket ‘Acho are tortilla chips mixed with beef brisket and topped with corn, baked beans, cole slaw, and barbeque sauce. It’s unique to Kaufmann Stadium and my guaranteed must try. The best place to find the Brisket ‘Achos are in the concession stand in the outfield plaza.

  • Belfonte Ice Cream

Do not underestimate the ice cream at the Belfonte ice cream shop in the outfield plaza. Whereas most ballparks serve soft-serv, you can get real ice cream at Kauffman Stadium.

Parking and Transportation

Parking is available in the lots around Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium. Parking must be purchased in advance.

Kauffman Stadium has limited options for getting there outside of driving. There is a dedicated space for Uber/Lyft pick-up/drop-offs.

Hotels

While there are two hotels located near Kauffman Stadium, it is highly recommended to stay either in downtown Kansas City to the east or in neighboring Independence, MO to the west.
